Available Dogs

Looking for your next family member?  From time to time, we become aware of dogs in search of new homes. This is a referral page. I post the information for the owners and breeders and then screen appropriate homes. There are no fees for these dogs. This is NOT a rescue site - it's a referral page. The current owner might be a breeder who wishes to re-home an older dog or a pet owner who is looking to place a dog. The goal is simple - to find the right home for the dog. If you are interested in a dog that is posted here, please contact me at the email below.

CHLOE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!
2 year old Shih Tzu x Bichon
Location: Windham, Maine    (posted 9/16/16)

Thank you to everyone who shared her information!
Chloe has been adopted as of today, 9/18/16.

Get ready for an awesome little package! Chloe is an active little dog who is a ton of fun. Some folks think small dogs are less maintenance and do not need as much activity, interaction or mental stimulation as a larger dog. Not true! They require just as much of all of the above. Chloe is looking for a super fun family/couple/person to call her own. She is a wonderful opportunity for an active owner who appreciates a little dynamo that has drive and a sense of humor.

Chloe is a super cute, hypoallergenic (she doesn't shed!) smart, active and playful, Shih Tzu x Bichon who is in search of a new forever home. Her sedentary owners find her moderate activity-level is more than they want, as a result, they wish to place her. There is no fee for Chloe.  She is 2 years old, spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on shots, crate-trained, house-broken and rides well in car. Chloe is about 15-16 lbs, is in excellent health, and would make a very nice pet or performance dog (agility, obedience, flyball, etc).  She is very smart, great with kids, kitties, and other respectful dogs. She is just about perfect!  Chloe enjoys sleeping in bed with her people or would be content to be in a crate. She is a quiet and not barky at all. She learns new things quickly (e.g. tricks) and loves to train and work. Chloe used to submissively urinate; this was a training issue, not a house-breaking issue. Happy, fun, benevolent voices make her feel her best, while loud angry people do not. Chloe has super house manners and enjoys the run of the house.   She is little and cute, but as I mentioned above, she is not a decoration or couch potato; like all dogs, she enjoys a good long play time and mental stimulation. She loves to fetch and will do so for hours. After exercise, she settles very well and would be content to hang out and watch tv with her peeps.  This is a little package who has the the same exercise requirements as the big dogs.

Chloe is in search of a kind and benevolent owner who can continue to help her feel good (exercising her regularly, teaching tricks and commands by using positive reinforcement methods) and who will help cultivate more confident Chloe! No doubt, the fortunate human(s) she selects will have a fast, fun friend for life.
